Brian is a proud lifelong resident of Spotsylvania County.  He graduated from Courtland High School in 1988, and five years later found himself starting his career in public service.

 

Brian spends his free time with his wife, his four adult daughters, and his eight grandchildren and parents. He enjoys the simple things in life. When not with his family, Brian's favorite pastimes are kayak fishing and whittling. Another one of his passions is attending car shows in his 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS.

 

Brian is running for Sheriff because he believes Spotsylvania deserves strong and nonpartisan leadership, safe neighborhoods, and a sheriff’s office that supports the men and women who serve. He promises to change the culture of our sheriff’s office while fully protecting and serving each of you.  Brian is ready to work hard, earn your trust, and fight every day to keep our community safe.

 

As Sheriff, Brian will focus on:

• Aggressively fighting crime and narcotics

• Protecting our families and neighborhoods while investing in our youth.

• Providing high police visibility while strengthening community trust

• Bringing professionalism and accountability to the Sheriff’s Office, while working with the county Board of Supervisors on deputy retention.
